From flex desk space to private offices, new entrepreneurial hub in Bend’s Old Mill District will cultivate creative connections.

BendTECH, Central Oregon’s only coworking space that focuses primarily on startups and entrepreneurial enterprises, has relocated to the Old Mill District. “This space really ticked all the boxes,” said BendTECH President Jason Wiener.

The new innovation area at 395 SW Bluff Drive is an increase in square footage from BendTECH’s former Emkay Drive location and features a state-of-the-art boardroom, dedicated kitchen space with an espresso machine, workout facilities that include a shower, secure bike parking, and modern furnishings.

A 501(c)3 non-profit, BendTECH has community building at its core and is dedicated to the promotion and support of tech-enabled companies and business professionals in the Bend area. Their mission is one of building and sustaining a culture of collaboration, networking, and entrepreneurship in support of a growing, diverse, and inclusive startup and tech community. That’s an ever-evolving goal, something they strive to achieve through coworking operations, events and programming.

“Members at BendTECH are typically remote tech employees living in Bend seeking community or entrepreneurs building companies from ideas to funding to exit strategies,” Wiener says. “With Bend a bit isolated from greater technology scenes more typical in California and Colorado, the coworking space adds immense value by bringing local tech types together.” BendTECH also dedicates resources to support graduating OSU-Cascades students, which helps build the next generation of tech leaders in Central Oregon.

“It’s a social group, so we have a lot of fun,” Wiener says. “Our members love sharing ideas, whether that’s over a coffee, beer, or lunchtime run. Being at Old Mill provides all these opportunities to us. We’re stoked.”

Memberships vary from drop-in desks in the flex space to dedicated desks and all the way up to private offices, so there’s something for everyone and every budget. The increased capacity of the new office allows BendTECH to now offer daily or hourly usage options.

If you’re intrigued, the first day at BendTECH is free, allowing you to see the space for yourself and connect with other like-minded entrepreneurs. Drop by BendTECH at 395 SW Bluff Street or go to www.BendTECH.com.
