Bend Brewfest is just around the corner and driving after sampling some of the planet’s best craft beers is not an option.

Fortunately, there’s a host of alternative transportation choices out there for the 2018 Bend Brewfest, August 16-18. Think biking, walking, ride shares, taxis and public transit.

Here’s some of our suggestions for what transit experts call healthy transportation options:

Grab a Lyft, taxi or other ride share service from our Pick-up and Drop-off Zone just outside of the Amphitheater. Note, traffic will be blocked on Shevlin-Hixon Drive for all other vehicles. In fact, Lyft is offering Brewfest guests 25 percent off not one, but TWO rides either to or from Brewfest. Just use the promo code “BENDBREW“.

Cascades East Transit bus service, which includes 10 routes in Bend. CET buses also include bicycle racks so you can combine bike and bus trips. Fares are as low as $.75 a ride.

The Ride Bend Shuttle is a free summer bus service that connects some of Bend’s most popular districts. The shuttle runs from noon to 10 p.m. daily, from now until Labor Day.

Find a carpool for work and/or play with Drive Less Connect, Oregon’s secure and easy to use online ride-matching tool.

Sign up for Zagster, Bend’s first bikesharing program. With six bikeshare station throughout town, Zagster makes midday trips a breeze and is perfect for bouncing all over town without having to get behind the wheel.
