Restaurant donating all perishable food during renovation

Anthony’s at the Old Mill District is very excited to announce that they are getting a fresh, new look!

The restaurant will close for one week for renovations. Mother’s Day dinner on May 13 will be the last service until May 21 when they re-open their doors for business.

Anthony’s is donating all perishable food to Family Kitchen, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving free meals to those in need. Anthony’s also plans to donate their time to prepare the food and serve lunch at Family Kitchen on May 14th.

“Family Kitchen was thrilled to get the call from Anthony’s that not only did they want to donate ingredients that might otherwise go to waste, the team wanted to go all in and cook and serve a meal too,” says Donna Burklo, Program Director at Family Kitchen. “These kinds of partnerships not only save us money, but they offer a chance for some of our dedicated volunteers to take a little break and also gives us an opportunity to educate more people about our mission. We are so grateful!”

“One thing that has always been a cornerstone in our company’s philosophy is to give back to our community,” says Elijah Begin, General Manager at Anthony’s at the Old Mill District. “It seemed only fitting to donate the food as well as our time to a wonderful organization like Family Kitchen that dedicates so much to help others in need. It is truly an honor to partner with them on this.”

The team from Anthony’s will be arriving at Family Kitchen on Monday, May 14, to begin preparing food for lunch service. They will remain throughout lunch to help with service.
