Looking for something fun to do this week that is quintessentially “Bend?” Then make plans to co me down to the Old Mill District this Thursday night for the 2nd Annual Fermentation Celebration from 5pm until 10pm. The event pays homage to the region’s booming craft beer culture and celebrates Oregon Craft Brewers Month by offering samples from our local breweries at participating shops and restaurants.
Entry to the event is free. Those who wish to partake in beverages pay $20, which includes 8 drink tickets and a commemorative Fermentation Celebration Silipint. Silipints are 100% food grade silicone, BPA free, insulates for hot and cold, unbreakable fun. The Silipints will be available from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on June 20th at the Ticket Mill. We’re excited to partner with our restaurants, retailers and shops to offer samples from Central Oregon breweries, plus a couple of hard ciders, mead and some wine from Naked Winery (which has a new tasting room in the Old Mill District). Each of the participating breweries will provide samples of a beer that is unique, limited or experimental – the Fermentation Celebration may be the only chance to try some of these beers.
The evening event will have live entertainment in Center Plaza with Truck Stop Gravy at 6:00 and Cody Bebee and the Crooks at 7:30. Special appearances by the Hokule’a Dancers.
