On April 30 at The Tower Theater, Diane Barnes shares her story of surviving a catastrophic event, and will to overcome.

As a physician, Diane was well aware of the statistics behind strokes and what came with them. Diane knew that the average person who has a stroke loses 1.9 million brain cells every minute a stroke goes untreated. And she knew she had the worst headache of her life. But, it would be 20 hours later, before Barnes would go to a hospital.

In a spellbinding and funny look at love, family, and seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Diane shares her amazing story with us. A single, adoptive mother of special needs and gifted sons, Diane knew she had to overcome this tragedy, and forge a new identity.

You can’t miss this story of humor, grit and victory. This play is for anyone who faces challenges… and don’t we all.
