The state’s biggest celebration of all things winter returns this February!
Nobody loves the winter months quite like Bend.
The days on the mountain, dark beers, firepits, late nights fueled by warm spirits.
We dig it all.
Come celebrate everything you love about this magical time of year at the 2019 OnPoint Community Credit Union Oregon WinterFest, February 15-17 in the Old Mill District.
Now in its 20th year, the Oregon WinterFest is three days of live music, delicious food and drink and activities for the whole family.
Proceeds from Oregon WinterFest benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon. Last year, the event raised more than $12,000 for the non-profit. Since 2008, WinterFest has generated more than $100,000 for local charities.
Here’s just a few things we love about WinterFest
WINE WALK
Start your Oregon WinterFest weekend off right with the Wine Walk on Friday, February 15. Stroll through the Old Mill District and sample wines from around the globe. Continue your discovery of the finer things our region has to offer at the Gourmet Food and Lifestyle Pavilion and find artisanal gifts by local creators at the Fine Arts and Crafts Pavilion.
MUSIC
Grab a 10 Barrel beer from one of our three WinterFest bars before listening to an array of musicians performing throughout the weekend. This year, The BoDeans headline the WinterFest lineup. Additionally, the Bent Lounge offers a chill spot to grab a cocktail and enjoy a host of activities.
RAIL JAM
Have a need for speed? 10 Barrel’s Rail Jam is a showcase of sick tricks by local snowboarders and skiers.
JD PLATT K-9 KINGS DOG SHOWS
When the K-9 Kings perform, you will experience 11 varieties of breeds, rescue dogs, acrobatic trick routines and the world’s largest meet and greet pet area. This fun mix of music, costumes, comedy, audience participation and high-flying trick dogs has become a professional entertainment act like no other.
ICE CARVING AND FIRE PITS
If you are in the mood to rub elbows with local artisans, watch the ice carving where blocks of ice are carved into magnificent ice sculptures, then stroll along the Deschutes River and warm up next to more than 20 creative fire pit installations—everything from fantastical spaceships and fire-breathing dragons.
KIDS AREA
The Kids Area will offer plenty of activities to keep your kiddos entertained with arts and crafts, games and more. This year, the OMSI Science Tent will offer educational activities and brainteasers to stimulate growing brains. Kids will also enjoy the Hot Cocoa Run—kids run station to station building the perfect mug of hot chocolate.
COSTUME OBSTACLE RUN
Dress up in costume for The Royal Run, a fun obstacle course that winds through paved paths and groomed trails along the Deschutes River. The obstacles aren’t overly challenging, making this race perfect for experienced runners as well as for those just looking for a good time.
