Online registration for the 43rd annual SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle on May 18 in Bend, Oregon is now open!

Go to PPPBend.com for all the information on the 2019 event, which finishes at the Les Schwab Amphitheater.

The SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle is a multi-sport event that includes alpine and cross-country skiing, cycling, running and kayaking. The race, which can be done individually or as part of team, starts with a 200-foot sprint up Mt. Bachelor to the competitors’ downhill skis. Racers ski down Bachelor before transferring to Nordic gear for an approximate 5-mile loop  with the Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center. Next up is the bike leg of the race, as competitors blast down Century Drive from the mountain into town. At the Athletic Club of Bend, racers move on to the trail running portion of the event, a 5-mile point-to-point leg that ends at Riverbend Park. Competitors finish the race with a 1 1/2 mile paddle in the Deschutes River before hopping out of their kayak/canoe/paddleboard and sprinting 800 meters into the Les Schwab Amphitheater.

The race is produced and a benefit for the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation (MBSEF), which creates opportunities through competitive snow sports programs to support athletes in achieving their individual athletic, academic, and personal goals.

This event is presented by SELCO and sponsored by Vacasa, East Cascade Women’s Group, Bend Anesthesiology Group, Five Talent, BigFoot Beverages, Hydro Flask, HWA, AAA, Mt.
