We’re celebrating the connections that tie us all together with a series of Love Letters. They’re fun, they’re original, and they’re from the most unexpected sources. Every month, we’ll release a new letter and a new contest. It’s a monthly reminder of what inspires us, what fills our hearts with joy, what puts smiles on our faces.

Time is fleeting and I have a long journey ahead of me. Before I go, I want to thank you for inspiring me to grow. Some people thought I was a lost cause. And that you were just an ordinary plant. We showed them! Transformation isn’t easy but you believed in me from the very beginning. You gave me the confidence to leave my cozy cocoon and see a bit of this wild world. This is who I am now. A wandering soul. A survivor. And I owe it all to you.

Love Old Mill! My favorite place to shop, eat @ be entertained!
Happy times shopping @ eating!
It’s where we chose to raise our family 48 years ago. We came not knowing a soul here and made a wonderful life for our 3 children. My husband worked as a caller for Brooks Scanlon for 25 years before the Mill shut down. We Love Bend for so many reasons. We chose well back then because all of our children and now grandchildren have chosen to make Bend their home also. We have seen many changes but Bend still tugs at our Heartstrings.
I came to Bend, OR. because I was falling in love with someone I met on E-Hrmony! He moved here from upstate New York, in 1998, buying a home on a gorgeous location overlooking the Cascades! I thought that he had the same idea as I did, to live in beautiful natural surroundings! Bend helped me fall in love with my husband! I never regretted falling in love with my current husband, and marrying in 2010. I am still enjoying every second I live in Bend. I am well-travelled. Someone asked me recently, “If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?” I quickly responded, “Bend, Oregon! It offers the most that anyone would desire”! I hope my family and friends all come to visit us here, so they have the opportunity to experience the love I have experienced!
I came Home, back to Bend, after 40 yrs.. I feel centered.🤗💛
