Our community partner and downtown Bend’s historic performing arts venue, the Tower Theatre, has much to sing about!

Six-member vocal group The Filharmonic showcase their a cappella prowess during the modified Bend A Cappella Festival happening Saturday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tower Theatre. The Filipino-American group is known for their exceptional mix of hip-hop, pop and ’90s nostalgia which got them to the semi-finals of NBC’s hit music competition “The Sing-Off” as well as a part in Universal Pictures’ famous movie “Pitch Perfect 2.” They’ve since become viral sensations with regular appearances on the Riff-Off feature in “The Late Late Show with James Cordon” accompanying Smokey Robinson, Jamie Foxx, Anna Kendrick, Neil Patrick Harris, and John Legend. Says Entertainment Weekly, “The Filharmonic knows how to put on an effortless performance, dancing and just having a party!”

Aca-awesome will be the intro to the evening, a welcome video with “the father of contemporary a cappella” Deke Sharon who served as arranger, on-site music director and vocal producer for Universal’s “Pitch Perfect” trilogy, in addition to a short performance from previous Bend A Cappella Festival participants vocal group Aca-word!
