New items include spatzle mac ‘n’ cheese and homemade meatballs

Our love for Boxwood Kitchen continues to grow.

The Old Mill District’s newest restaurant has expanded its menu, adding a handful of items that have us salivating just thinking about them.

For lunch, check out the Albacore Tuna Bowl. A favorite when Boxwood first launched as a delivery-only service, this bowl includes avocado, bok choy, black rice, kale, cucumbers, pickled veggies and a miso vinaigrette.

Come dinnertime, try the Spatzle Mac ‘N’ Cheese (below). The house-made spatzle with raclette, chedder and bread crumbs instantly became one of our go-to mac ‘n’ cheeses in town.

Finally, one of our favorite dishes on the entire menu is Boxwood’s Burrata & Meatballs (above). Served in a bowl, the burrata – a mozzarella shell that contains stracciatella and cream on the inside – melts perfectly with the handmade pork meatballs and creamy polenta and tomato sauce. It’s one of those dishes that’s truly unique to Boxwood in Bend.
