Eat Breakfast like a King, lunch like a Prince and dinner like a pauper my ma always used to say. Well I agree with the first two and perhaps I would modernize it a tish to Goddess, Queen and Princess, but I digress.
Finally, we have a brilliant breakfast option right here in the Old Mill District. After years firmly rooted in dining options occurring after 11am, we now have a hot spot for the most important meal of the day!
Serving every Saturday and Sunday from 9am-2pm Anthony’s at the Old Mill has become a true destination for breakfast. My family recently went on a delightful culinary journey so we could share the sizzle with you. The breakfast cocktail menu, words that belong in the same sentence on the weekends, has a sweet list of 10 hands down fav’s including, but not limited to the Spicy Bloody Mary and the Mimosa of course -all for $5. Good Morning!
Starting the Day out with a Cocktail is always a treat, but then every table receives a basket of freshly made cinnamon blueberry coffee cake with cinnamon butter on the side. The breakfast options range from The Fisherman’s Scramble to the Breakfast Tacos. Personally I have to have a special occasion to compel me to order Oysters, but it is nice that it is available for the salty ones among us. We instead opted for the Huevos Rancheros, the Salmon Cakes and Eggs and the Blueberry Crepes. They were all delightful, hot, fresh and well-seasoned. Not to mention they all came with delicious bacon. It was easy with the little ones as they had coloring menus just for kids and spacious booths. We certainly don’t go out enough for breakfast however; Anthony’s has risen to the top of our list.
If you are in need of a treat, come down and enjoy a scrumptious breakfast with a gorgeous view.
