A HUGE holiday weekend is upon us and with it the opportunity to take a breath, have a bite and enjoy the company of friends, family and fellow travelers in Bend. Fortunately, there are a number of holiday dining options to match your culinary desires. Whether you’re looking for gourmet or on-the-go nourishment, here is an overview of restaurants open December 24th and 25th.
Dining Out on December 24th?
Make it an island style lunch at Kona Mix Plate. Coconut Shrimp, Kalua Pork and Bulgogi are just a few of the tempting dishes that include vegetarian options. In the mood for Yakisoba noodles? Tend to your taste buds early as Kona Mix Plate will be open from 11 am – 3 pm.
Strictly Organic has your coffee, tea, and sweet tooth covered. Order hot chocolates to go and hail a carriage ride for a memory-making tour! Open until 6 pm, you’ll also find a nice selection of giftable treats available.
Cold days are known to stimulate miso soup cravings. You can warm up with a bowl and add handcrafted rolls to a late lunch at Mio Sushi.
Stop in for delicious, wholesome Yumm bowls, stews or a tasty soup selection at Café Yumm from 11 am – 6 pm. While you’re there stock up on their Jalapeno Sesame Salsa for yourself and any deserving foodie on your holiday list.
A surefire way to feel festive is to enter into Greg’s Grill, fully decked and photo opp ready. Try their Pomegranate Baked Brie to get things started and don’t forget that Rotisserie Prime Rib is also on the menu. Greg’s Grill will be serving Northwest cuisine on Christmas Eve — they do book up quickly, so make a reservation in advance.
Anthony’s offers beautiful views to accompany a menu filled with seafood, steaks, chowders, and salads, open until 8 pm on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (see below).
Known for their pasta dishes made from scratch, Pastini Pastaria has an extra special offer for anyone in the mood for a Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie Christmas. Pastini has partnered with Regal Cinemas 16 to provide a 20% discount on your meal anytime before or after the film when you show your day-of ticket stub. Gluten-free diners need not worry, many dishes are available with brown rice noodles upon request and their GF Tiramisu is well worth the indulgence. Open until 8 pm on Christmas eve.
Go for lively and colorful decor at Hola! Better yet, pair a Pisco Sour with any one of their Peruvian Mexican inspired entrees and unique seafood dishes until 10 pm.
Enjoy a late lunch of bottom-less french fries and fire-grilled burgers at Red Robin, open until 3 pm on Christmas Eve.

Begin your Noel by taking in the morning sights with a birdwatching walk around the Deschutes River. Before you go, get your morning caffeine fix at Strictly Organic, open from 8 am until 3 pm. Later in the day you can catch a matinee at Regal Cinemas, take a tour of the town, and return for margaritas at Hola, open from 10 am – 10 pm. Or you could always choose to feast on seafood, steaks and the rest of the season’s best served at Anthony’s from 2 pm – 7:45 pm on Christmas Day.
