The Old Mill District is a hub of creative connections, especially during First Friday Art Walk

Festivities return Friday, Oct. 7 from 3-6 p.m.

(Last updated 9.30.22) Celebrate art in the heart of Bend! Join Tumalo Art Co., Lubbesmeyer Art Studio & Gallery, The Stacks Studios & Gallery, Amejko Artistry and a host of shops as they showcase and show off a plethora of work from regional artists. First Friday Art Walk in the Old Mill District is a wonderful opportunity to chat with artists and makers and to expand your creative community while enjoying different wine samples from Va Piano Vineyards and Evoke Winery – the perfect prelude before downtown Bend’s activities that start at 5 p.m.

This month, Tumalo Art Co. opens Anne Gibson’s exhibit “Topophilia: Into the Canyons,” which is a reflection of her internal journey during the pandemic years. The word topophilia, or love of place, refers to the vivid, warm, emotional feelings people develop for a place. For Anne, her pandemic years have been a time to take stock, to look and feel deeply, and to find new ways to love this troubled, exhilarating, maddening, gorgeous world.

They are partnering with the local charity Kissed By Cancer and donating a percentage of all sales of anything PINK to the charity directly impacting local women struggling with Breast Cancer. Joni Carlson from Kissed By Cancer will be on-site First Friday giving away super cute shirts, sweatshirts and other fun swag!
