The couple that rides, skies and paddles together, stays together.

In Bend, the perfect day date often includes a little bit of dirt and snow.

Here’s a couple of our favorite winter outdoor date ideas:

Nordic ski at Virginia Meissner Sno-Park

Grab your skinny skies and enjoy more than 40 kilometers of free groomed trails just 13 miles west of Bend, provided by the non-profit Mesissner Nordic.

Classic cross-country skiing at Meissner.

Mountain bike at Horse Butte

The Bend area is full of great bike riding even throughout the winter. Head southeast of Bend approximately 10 miles for a great 10-mile loop.

Sled and fat bike at Wanoga Sno-Park

Not a skier? Not a problem. Wangoa’s home to one of the best sled hill in Central Oregon and boasts trails designated specifically for fat bike trails.

Snowshoe from Edison Butte Sno-Park

Home to 24 miles of Nordic trails supported by two shelters, Edison is located a few miles south of the Sunriver cutoff on the way up to Mount Bachelor.

Trail run at the Maston Trail Area

Similar to Horse Butte, the Maston trail system between Tumalo and Redmond makes for great winter running and riding.
