Discover prime patio dining along the Deschutes with Old Mill District happy hour hits.
Sip, sip, hooray! Summer is the perfect time to unwind with friends and colleagues on one of the many primo patio locations throughout the Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon. Eight of the district’s popular restaurants offer outdoor spaces to elevate any occasion while simmering in the gorgeous Central Oregon sunshine. A few notable recommendations below:
Va Piano Vineyards Tasting Room & Champagne Bar:
Head to the riverside patio at Va Piano on Monday for locals’ day. Enjoy $2 off premier Walla Wall, Washington wine, or relax with discounted champagne and beer on tap from Noon to 8 p.m. and chase the Monday blues away.
Rapa Nui Tiki Bar:
Transport from the high desert to a far-off tropical island when you enter Rapa Nui who serve up some of the freshest pressed cocktails, like the popular Tahitian Rum Punch, on the second level patio with extraordinary views. We’re also suckers for the Asian-fusion tapas, specifically the Korean BBQ riblets!
Lady Bird Cultural Society:
The sumptuously designed restaurant with its vintage-meets-modern prohibition era vibes provides a posh space to tip back a signature cocktail or mocktail or two. Our regular orders include the Pink Lady Sour or the Faux Seventy Five.
Anthony’s at the Old Mill District:
Monday through Friday from 3 to 6:30 p.m. sip on $6 local draft beer and PNW wine by the glass. The Pom Paloma will hit the spot on a warm summer day – tequilla, pomegranate juice, grapefruit juice and lemon-lime soda over ice goes down real nice.
