Bend artist collective invites community to 20 Year Anniversary Retrospective celebration!
Tumalo Art Co. will celebrate its 20 year anniversary during the Old Mill District First Friday Art Walk on Friday, Apr 1 from 3 p.m.- 7 p.m. About 40 artists, past and present, will have art represented in the 20 Year Anniversary Retrospective show. From its initial home in Tumalo Junction, to downtown Bend and the last 12 years in the heart of the Old Mill District, Tumalo Art Co., an artist-run gallery, has been a vibrant hub for many of Central Oregon’s best known artists and a welcoming place for art lovers of all ages. Everyone is welcome to join the celebration which will feature music, libations and special food from Luckey’s Woodsman Off-Grid Provisions!
Original owner Marta Batha and several of the first members of the gallery, Karen Piedmont, Chari (Grenfell) Rich, Annie Ferder, Tracy Leagjeld, and Mary Marquiss will all have art in the show and many will be in attendance at the opening. Pam Jersey Bird, a member who has passed away, will be represented, and past members Vicki Shuck, Gary Vincent, Kim Chavez and Ingrid Lustig as well as current represented artists and members will all be together as artists and friends for this exhibit.
The 20 Year Anniversary Retrospective show will be up through the month of April and the gallery is open 7 days a week— 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sundays. For more information call 541-385-9144 or check out www.tumaloartco.com.
