Free bus service in Bend starts Friday with kickoff event
In partnership with the City of Bend and Visit Bend, COIC and CET are excited to announce the start of the 2018 Ride Bend summer shuttle service that connects downtown Bend, Old Mill District, Century Drive, and Galveston Ave. The free shuttle will operate daily from June 29 to Sept. 3, noon to 10 p.m., with buses running every 15 minutes.
COIC, CET, and community partners are hosting a 2018 Ride Bend launch celebration that will begin promptly at 11:30 am on Friday, June 29 at the Ride Bend stop at Franklin and Wall St. in downtown. Opening remarks will be made by funding partners and community members, followed by the first 2018 shuttle ride that begins at noon. If you choose to hop on the shuttle, you will have the option of exiting the bus at our new Old Mill District stop along SW Bluff Drive to enjoy fun activities and refreshments (and taking a later shuttle back) or staying on the shuttle as it completes the loop back to Franklin Ave. and Wall St.
We hope you can join us to celebrate the second year of Ride Bend! Please contact me if you have questions or would like further information about the summer shuttle or the launch event. Ride Bend maps and more information about the service can be found on CET’s Ride Bend web page.
