Two solar charging stations are up and ready to use

The Old Mill District recently installed two solar charging stations to help keep visitors connected when their devices begin to run out of power.

Located in Center Plaza near Anthony’s and next to Jimmy John’s, the new NRG Street Charge solar stations are a quick and easy way to charge phones, tablets and even cameras with the speed of a regular outlet but with the clean energy of the sun.

Powered by three 20-watt solar panels, the charging stations include six weather-resistant connectors for most iPhone and Android models. One of several green initiatives in the Old Mill District, the new charging stations need just four hours of daylight to fully operate.

With the Old Mill District’s solar charging stations, you’ll be back on the go in no time and you’ll feel great knowing you powered up with green energy.
