Who knew the turning of the leaves could be so … appetizing?
Pastini, which already offers an amazing array of warm, soul-soothing entrees (see above), is embracing autumn with two new seasonal dishes.
Wine and Thyme Braised Lamb Ragu is vintage comfort food. Rich, slow-simmered lamb with garlic, tomatoes, red wine, carrots, onions, and lots of fresh organic thyme, served over buttery Bob’s Red Mill polenta. Paired with a glass of red, like Pastini’s October wine of the month, Barnard Griffin Cabernet, this makes an incomparable autumn dinner.
Next up is a warm and substantial fall soup special, Meatball Minestrone. This Italian classic is filled with vegetables, cannellini beans and pasta, and Pastini’s added two handmade meatballs and a dollop of fresh pesto. Start with fresh field greens or caesar salad and you’ve got a perfect lunch or light dinner.
And don’t forget to try Pastini’s fall special cocktail – the Ginger Green Apple Fizz! It’s a snappy citrus highball accented by ginger beer and bitters, blending Absolut Citron, Bedford’s ginger beer (locally-crafted), and green apple liqueur over ice. Zesty, refreshing, and full of fall flavor.
