Chill A While and Enjoy a Cold Craft Beer at Confluence Fly Shop’s Craft Beer Bar in Bend, Oregon
Take a time out from your outdoor adventures (or just shopping) with a cold beer at one of Bend’s best fly fishing shops in the Old Mill District.

Confluence Fly Shop in the Old Mill District not only boasts some of the best fishing gear in Central Oregon, but some of the area’s best craft beers, as well.
Longtime shop owner Tye Krueger remodeled his store in 2022, the highlight of which included the addition of an 8-tap bar, with sliding-glass door access to seating in an outdoor patio.
“With so many great fly shops in Central Oregon, we’re always striving to be the premier destination for fishermen visiting our region,” says Krueger, who founded Confluence Fly Shop in 2013. “The addition of the bar enhanced an already awesome fly shop vibe.”
“We have a great riverfront location in the Old Mill District, classes, workshops, and guided fishing trips,” Krueger adds. “Swapping lies over a cold beer with your friends, well, it’s a pretty natural next step after a day on the water.”
The roughly 20-foot-long, 9-stool bar, features a large TV and a rotating selection of draught and bottled beer, wine, and cider. The bar is open to the public during normal store hours and taps continually rotate, and at times, include various ciders and kombucha along with wine and various drinks available in cans and bottles.
“When the weather gets nice and the Old Mill District is just brimming with people, we’re another incredible place to just sit and have a cold beer or other refreshing beverage,” says Krueger, whose shop has become a favorite spot for Hayden Homes Amphitheater concertgoers to grab a beer before they hit a show. “During the right time of year, it’s just so nice to sit outside, enjoy a sunset, or relax on a warm sunny, high desert afternoon.”
