Bend Women’s March

February 28, 2018 - March 31, 2018

Celebrate arts, culture, business, and outdoor adventure inspired by women during this month-long event.

World Muse and Visit Bend have teamed up to create Bend Women’s March, a project aimed at supporting and celebrating the ways women are shaping communities from arts & culture to outdoor adventure.

This month-long celebration in March will begin with the sixth annual Muse Women’s Conference slated for March 1-4, 2018 in downtown Bend. The annual Muse Women’s Conference brings together local women & teens with internationally recognized artists, authors, athletes, entrepreneurs, activists, and social change leaders to celebrate International Women’s Day and kick-off Women’s History Month. This four-day event will include a film series, salon series, art show, keynote presentations, interviews, live performances, and interactive workshops.

Throughout the month, locals and visitors alike will be invited to join the celebration by attending women-inspired events and programming offered by a variety of national and Bend-based businesses and non-profits. The month will wrap up with a focus on outdoor activities and sports events. “I am thrilled to have our community coming together to celebrate all the awesome ways women are doing, being, and leading,” said Amanda Stuermer, founder of World Muse and Chairwoman of Bend Women’s March. “This is such a great way for locals and visitors to rally
around and show their support for women. There is really something for everyone.”

Bend Women’s March will host a launch on January 11 at Bend’s new Art & Culture Hub At Liberty, located in downtown Bend. The event will feature a special Night Light Show starring Shanan Kelley and her Magnificent Guests. Guests will have the opportunity to hear more about Bend Women’s March and enjoy an evening of inspiration and laughter.

Kevney Dugan, CEO of Visit Bend, said his team is looking forward to being involved in such an inspiring new event. “We’re excited to be part of something that celebrates and honors women,” Dugan added. “This is a great opportunity to shine a light on their achievements while drawing visitors to the region during a period that’s historically slow for Bend tourism.” A website for Bend Women’s March with details on all events will be coming soon at www.bendwomensmarch.com.
