First Friday Art Walk in the Old Mill District

October 1, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

First Friday Art Walk in the Old Mill District returns Friday, Oct. 1 from 3-6 p.m.

This October, Dee McBrien-Lee’s new series, “Tale of Two Deserts”, opens at Tumalo Art Co. “Tale of Two Deserts” takes us from the high desert environment of Central Oregon to the red rock country of Southern Utah. Reflected in these works, which range from wide open spaces to intimate canyons and secret spots, are her feelings about the two deserts, represented in both abstract and a more traditional style.

Tumalo Art Co., Lubbesmeyer Art Studio & Gallery, Amejko Artistry, Saxon’s Fine Jewelers, Winsome Construction and City Home will host events showcasing an array of artists and mediums. First Friday Art Walk is a wonderful opportunity to chat with the artists and makers, to learn about their creative process, and to expand your creative community. Enjoy not only art from around Central Oregon, but different white, red, and bubbly wine samples from Va Piano Vineyards and Evoke Winery , plus, Kara’s Kitchenware is offering samples of regional wine available in her store.
First Friday Art Walk in the Old Mill District is the perfect aperitif before downtown Bend’s activities that start at 5 p.m. Reminder that the state of Oregon has implemented a mask mandate for all indoor, public spaces as well as outdoors where social distancing isn’t possible. We ask all First Friday Art Walk attendees to follow this protocol while visiting the Old Mill District.
