Oregon WinterFest returns every February to the Old Mill District in Bend, Oregon. The massive celebration of all things winter will bring national music acts, a fire pit competition, ice sculptures, the OMSI Kids Area, fine art, delicious food, beer, wine and so much more. Watch as the Old Mill District turns into a winter wonderland! There is something for everyone at Oregon WinterFest.

Head to the Live Music Chalet to hear a wide array of musicians from across the northwest performing throughout the weekend.
Start your Oregon WinterFest weekend off right with the Wine Walk. Stroll through the diverse retailers in the Old Mill District and sample wines from around the globe. Continue your discovery of the finer things our region has to offer at the Gourmet Food and Lifestyle Pavilion and find artisanal gifts by local creators at the Fine Arts and Crafts Pavilion.
Rail Jam Ski & Snowboard
Have a need for speed? 10 Barrel’s Rail Jam is a showcase of sick tricks by local snowboarders and skiers.
Ice Carving Sculpture Competition
If you are in the mood to rub elbows with local artisans, watch the ice carving where blocks of ice are carved into magnificent ice sculptures, then stroll along the Deschutes River and warm up next to more than 20 creative fire pit installations—everything from fantastical spaceships and fire-breathing dragons. The Ice Sculpture Competition attracts groups and individuals from around the region. Loved by kids and adults alike, this live ice carving exhibition and competition brings ice and sparkle to the heart of the event.
Fire Pit Competition
The incredibly popular Fire Pit Competition returns with more artists than ever before. More than 20 Fire Pits and Fire Sculptures will blaze along the Deschutes River in the Old Mill District. New this year will be the People’s Choice Award. Formerly held to professional judging only, the competition will this year open up and ask festivalgoers to vote on their favorite submissions too!
Take a stroll through the fire pit contest and exhibition where elaborate, detailed fire pits take the Central Oregon backyard staple to incredible, artistic levels. While the pits light up both the day and night, it is a special treat to see the flames burning against the cold, night sky.
For the Kids
The Kids Area will offer plenty of activities to keep your kiddos entertained with arts and crafts, bounce houses and more WinterFest’s Family Play Zone. This year, the OMSI Science Tent will offer educational activities and brainteasers to stimulate growing brains.
Kids Hot Cocoa Run
Kids Hot Cocoa Run: Each Prince and Princess will run from station to station, building a cup of hot cocoa that is good enough for royalty. Stations will include fun ingredients to make the perfect cup of hot cocoa. When the cross the finish line they will be awarded the final touch, the hot cocoa! This event will leave the little runners feeling like they rule the world.
Adventure Obstacle Course Run
The Royal Run 5K is a fun obstacle course that winds through paved paths and groomed trails along the Deschutes River. The obstacles aren’t overly challenging, making this race perfect for experienced runners as well as for those just looking for a good time.
JD Platt’s K-9 Kings
Experience 11 varieties of breeds, rescue dogs and acrobatic routines with JD Platt’s K-9 Kings. This fun mix of music, costumes, comedy and audience participation has become an entertainment act like none other in the world!
Tickets & Hours
WinterFest weekend: Friday 5-10pm, Saturday 11am-10pm and Sunday 11am-6pm.
Tickets available in advance $10 per person in advance around town. Tickets are $15 at the gate. Family 4 pack available only at the gate for $45. (Must include two children under 18.)

Fine Arts & Crafts Pavillion & Food Marketplace open WinterFest hours throughout the weekend. Arts and crafts, fashion and specialty foods will fill the marketplace with more vendors than ever before.
