Outdoor Yoga Event for Racial Justice

July 2, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Let’s unite for this donation-based Outdoor Yoga Flow Event to support the Black Lives Matter Movement and to combat racial injustice. The word Yoga means to create Union: within ourselves and a sense of oneness with everyone and everything. In order to truly participate in change we must first look within ourselves to recognize our own imperfect patterns, thoughts and blindspots. We can no longer look the other way when something does not affect us or feels uncomfortable; it is our responsibility to listen, hear, see and stand up against injustice and oppression. In this peaceful and safe Yoga Flow class you will initiate change within yourself as well as come together as a yoga community to build solidarity for black and brown lives, because Black Lives Matter!

Free Spirit is a space of action, designed to create healthy living activities for families. All the proceeds from this event will go to the The Loveland Foundation, a non-profit that helps communities of color in unique and powerful ways, including providing free therapy to Black women and girls www.thelovelandfoundation.org.
This event will be held on the grass between the bicycle rental shop and walking path in the Old Mill District. Participants are spaced 6 – 10 feet apart. Bring your own mat, journal / paper and a pen. All Levels Welcome!
