U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Party

November 12, 2018 @ 3:00 am - 5:00 am

“People’s Tree” will make cross-country journey from Oregon to Washington D.C.

The holiday tree that represents the hope, goodwill and spirit of the United States people is headed to Bend this November.

Every year, a different National Forest is selected to provide a tree to appear on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol for the Christmas season. This year’s tree, cut in the Willamette National Forest, is stopping in Bend on Nov. 12 on the way to Washington, D.C. Come out to the Les Schwab Amphitheater in the Old Mill District to celebrate this special event with cookies, hot chocolate, crafts – and surprise visits from Father Christmas and Smokey Bear!
