Ween Concert
June 30, 2017 - July 1, 2017
Ween returns on July 1. Long reviled for their lengthy and engaging live shows, this marks Ween’s fourth time at the Les Schwab Amphitheater.
Ween is known for its far-reaching musical approach which takes influence from many different genres of music. Gene and Dean Ween are known for their highly eclectic catalogue of songs inspired by funk, soul, R&B, heavy metal, punk rock and more. Ween has garnered a devoted cult following over the years. Ween last played Bend in 2011. After a 28-year run, Freeman quit the band in 2012.
In 2015, Ween reunited for three concerts and throughout 2016 played select reunion shows. In late 2016 the band released a live album GodWeenSatan Live, which was recorded in 2001, and features the band performing its debut album in its entirety. Because of Ween’s wide variety of styles and humorous lyrics, they have often been compared to Frank Zappa.
