Take Note Initiative

Visit the official Les Schwab Amphitheater website at Bend Concerts for the full summer lineup each season.

The Les Schwab Amphitheater’s Take Note Initiative is a sustainability initiative designed to reduce waste and make the amphitheater a more environmentally friendly venue. Take Note Initiative elements include reusable pint and cocktail drinkware from Silipint, compostable cups, no single-use plastic bottles for sale and a water filtration station. Recycling, waste management and composting services are provided at each concert.

Thanks to our sustainability initiatives the Amphitheater has successfully cut its total waste in half over the past four years. More than 50 percent of the total waste from the venue has successfully diverted from landfills since the initiative launched in 2016. At the Amphitheater, single-use plastic water bottles and plastic drink cups are a thing of the past.

Join us in 2020 for our fifth year of making the Les Schwab Amphitheater a community model of sustainability. All our beverage cups, plates and utensils used by food vendors are 100% certified compostable.

Bring your own re-usable canteen or water bottle to re-fill at our free filtered water station. Water canteens are also available for purchase. Look for our colorful water filtration system and additional drinking fountains throughout the venue.

Purchase a reusable limited-edition LSA Silipints for beer and cider, or the Silipint base cups for wine or cocktails for $20. Your first beverage is included in this price. Get $1 off each additional drink purchase all summer long. We are honoring all past TNI Silipints for the 2020 concert season. LSA Silipints and Silipint Base cups are available at the concierge tent and the bar at each concert.

In 2014, Jack Johnson’s AllatOnce.org movement helped launch a sustainability program which has inspired venues across the country to follow suit, including the Les Schwab Amphitheater’s Take Note Initiative.
