Joy to the Bend: Happy Holidays & Happening in Bend
We heart the holiday season in Central Oregon.
From hot chocolate dates around fire pits and early morning runs at Mt. Bachelor to curling leagues at The Pavilion and SantaLand in the Old Mill District, Bend and the surrounding areas embrace the winter months with a zeal rarely seen outside of the North Pole.
Some come join us along the Deschutes River for some of our favorite holiday events!
Santa flies into the Old Mill District
Come welcome Santa Claus to the Old Mill District and the opening of SantaLand!
With a little help from our friends at AirLink, everyone’s favorite man in red will kickoff the Christmas season November 23, the day after Thanksgiving, by landing in the Les Schwab Amphitheater at 10:15 a.m.
Santa will chat with the visiting crowd for a few minutes before heading over to SantaLand, located this year between desperado and Avalon Salon in the Old Mill District, for photos and fun!
Take a photo with the holiday’s biggest celebrity… Santa! Parents join in the fun by guessing the Celebrity Santa of the day. Local, county and state officials as well as local personalities. Participate in this year’s fun event located in SantaLand. Photography by Karen Cammack Photography.
