Deschutes River Montessori School students love our sunny, bright classrooms filled with time-tested, authentic Montessori materials and staffed by enthusiastic, eager, and caring Montessori-certified teachers and talented classroom assistants. The children also spend time daily enjoying the numerous green yards, climbing boulders, and open areas of the Old Mill District along the Deschutes River.
Our infant and toddler communities provide our youngest students, ages 10 months through 36 months, with a loving, caring, safe, and enriching environment within which to grow and learn. Our primary community is for children ages three through kindergarten. Whether preparing snack, creating a watercolor map of Earth’s continents and oceans, singing songs with friends, learning to read, doing big, exciting math problems using Maria Montessori’s wonderful manipulative math materials, running outside at recess, or engaging in any one of many, many other activities that are a part of each and every school day at Deschutes River Montessori School, our students feel joy in their education and a thirst for knowledge.
