Here are some of our favorite places and venues to consider when making your wedding plans in Bend:
For wildflower lovers:
The wildflower fields around the Old Mill District are like a dream. Really! Contact us if you’d like to get permission to propose or exchange your vows amidst a flurry of bright flowers around the Old Mill’s extensive grounds. Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyards plants fields of wildflowers across their 300+ acre wedding venue near Terrebonne.
For water lovers:
Throughout the Old Mill District, there are plenty of riverside trails, parks and beaches to consider for an impromptu engagement or the big to-do. The Bend hotels in the Old Mill District overlook the Deschutes River. The Hampton Inn & Suites, SpringHill Suites Bend and the Hilton Garden Inn all offer wedding and reception venues with catering and places to stay for you and your guests. How about a river view patio for a rehearsal dinner or after-dinner drinks? Both Greg’s Grill and Anthony’s have large outdoor patios overlooking the Deschutes River in Bend. Gather guests around the outdoor fire pits for late-night s’mores with White Russians and cheers to the soon-to-be-married life!
For music lovers:
The Hayden Homes Amphitheater’s riverfront venue can be a romantic spot for any concert lover. Yes, a wedding planned around a concert might be the best idea ever. Here’s the current list of upcoming shows planned for 2022! Subscribe to the Bendconcerts.com newsletter to receive all concert related announcements.
For mountain lovers:
Consider getting married at the top-of-the-world (well, Bend’s top of the world) at Mt. Bachelor. Their year-round operations allow for winter or summer weddings. Ride the chair lift up almost 8,000-feet and have Scapolo’s at the Pine Marten Lodge host your event.
For desert lovers:
For those couples who prefer desert and rockscape weddings, head over to Smith Rock State Park. Whether you’re planning a big to-do or a small soiree, there are few places where you can walk down the aisle around here. For small gatherings check out the North Point Amphitheater at the end of the “Turnaround Parking Lot”. We’ve spotted a few elopements on the overlook’s edge. There are easy to reach areas where you’ll be far enough away, but make it easy for your small wedding entourage to get to you from the parking lot. For a special event permit and information on how to get married at Smith Rock State Park, contact the park by calling 541-548-7501 ext 2 to make a reservation.
For a more private wedding location with Smith Rock and Crooked River views, check out Ranch at the Canyons, which sits on over 1,700-acres along the backside of Smith Rock State Park. This luxury, gated community offers both indoor and outdoor weddings. Choose from the Old Winery Clubhouse and Guest Villa or the spacious Tuscan Stables that can accommodate up to 200 people.
For links lovers:
Prefer a “perfect green” to express your love from? Consider one of the breathtaking golf courses in Bend complete with mountain, river, and green views. The greens at both Tetherow Resort and the Riverhouse have on-site catering and lodging for your all guests right in Bend. A little further out of Bend on the way to Mt. Bachelor is Widgi Creek which offers a more forest-y wedding venue experience.
For wine lovers:
Va Piano Winery in the Old Mill District has a riverfront patio framed in florals with front-row views of the Deschutes River. Between Terrebonne and Sisters, Faith Hope & Charity Vineyards offers vine-side weddings on their 15-acre vineyard. The views of Smith Rock and the Three Sisters mountains are unforgettable.
Flowers, Florals & Greenery for the Big Day
For unique floral bouquets, check out Wildflowers of Oregon in downtown Bend. In search of flora and fauna to dress up your venue? Stop by Somewhere That’s Green for an ample selection of plants of all kinds (from tropical to cacti to bonzai), succulents, flowers, and delightful floral-inspired accessories.
Wedding Favors & Guest Gifts
For wedding party favors and guest goodies, consider a stop at Hello Sunshine or Francesca’s for both fun and sentimental gifts. Thinking home décor? Try City Home in the Old Mill District. For the foodies and oenophiles, pick up bottles of wine at Va Piano or Evoke Winery or satchels of special spice blends from Savory Spice. Looking for something special for the ladies in your bridal party? Maybe a piece of fine jewelry from Saxon’s or relaxing spa services at Radiant Day Spa or Avalon Salon & Spa. Can’t decide? Then let them decide by purchasing Old Mill Gift Cards available in custom dollar amounts — they can use them to shop and eat, or for going to the movies and concerts.
