See the sun through a telescope! The Oregon Observatory will offer Solar Viewing in the Old Mill District on Wednesdays (11:30- 1:30pm), in the plaza next to Strictly Organic Coffee Co.

Do the kids love stars, constellations, rockets and more? Sunriver’s location makes it perfect for year round star gazing. The Oregon Observatory— home to the largest astronomical viewing public facility—in the United States and located in Central Oregon!

Great Horned Owl

See an owl up close and learn more from a Naturalist! The Sunriver Nature Center will be in the Old Mill District on Wednesdays (11:30 – 1:30pm) with a Great Horned Owl. In the plaza next to Strictly Organic Coffee Co.

Star Gazing

Enjoy Star Gazing where you’ll learn about the night sky through a constellation tour. Meet the staff from the Observatory on the footbridge in Center Plaza near Anthony’s. Look for the telescopes setting up on Thursdays nights in September-October, from 8-9pm.

The Oregon Observatory hosts guided constellations tours. The Observatory’s retractable roof is a perfect location for year round star gazing.
